Wins Stripes Sergeant Glen R. Hunter U.S. Army Air Forces Entered service 18 months ago. Promoted to sergeant. Transferred from Engineer Corps to Air Forces. Son of Mrs. Lillie Nekakis of Pawhuska. Stationed in Alaska for last year. Engineer Lieutenant Laddie Joe Grimes Commissioned second lieutenant in army. Was staff sergeant. Completed officer's candidate course at Engineers school at Ft. Belvoir, Va. Son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Grimes of Johnston Route. Inducted with national guard unit of Pawhuska. Served with the 45th Div. Co. B, Ft. Devens, Mass. Before Officers Candidate School. Assigned to the 359th General Service Engineer Regiment in the Headquarters and Service Company at Camp Clarborne, La. Duties: Training and Mess Officer. 1300 men in the regiment. Called to service while at senior year at Pawhuska High School. Also associated with the Safeway store. Promotion Arthur Bennett U.S. Army, Camp Sibert, Ala.
