All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Robert Gene Brady Funeral services for Robert Gene Brady, 22, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Janssen, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Internment was under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket escorts for Mr. Brady included the Messers; Ted Gallager, Ned Courtney, Bill Wassom and Edwin Wassom. Mr. Brady is survived by one daughter, Geannie Lucille; one son, Jeffery Allen; his mother, Mrs. Sanford Brady; four brothers, William, Steve, Gary and Mike Brady; his grandmother, Mrs Ethel Ballard; and his great-grandmother, Mrs Ella Brady. Services and internment were directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home. ========= Okesan Dies of Gunshot Wound Pawhuska--The shooting death of a Bartlesville native, Robert G. Brady, 22, Rt 3 Box 51-A Okesa, is being investigated by the Osage County Sheriff's Office according to Sheriff George Wayman. Wayman said Brady was shot in the stomach with a 12 gauge shotgun at his home about 1:30 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to Jane Phillips Episcopal Memorial Medical Center and died at 2:25 p.m., shortly after arrival. Dr. William Russum, Washington County medical examiner, said Brady died of a gunshot wound in the abdomen. Wayman said the shooting is believed to be and accident at this time but his office is still investigating. He said that Brady had been drinking and then decided to go hunting. He was told by his mother, Marjorie Brady and his girl friend, Betty Jo Ann Queen, that he was in no shape to go hunting. Wayman said "The three evidently began scuffling and tried to take the gun away from him and it went off." Wayman said persons at the home had been questioned but no one was arrested. Brady resided in Okesa and is survived b y his mother Marjorie Brady of the home and four brothers, William Brady, South Coffeyville, Gary Brady, Hominy and Steve and Mike Brady, both of the home.
