All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 34, No. 3 January 16, 2002 Russell Paul Cecil Jr. Russell Paul Cecil Jr., born Aug. 8, 1928 in Hominy to Orca Bean and Russell Paul Cecil Sr., passed away suddenly Jan. 8, 2002. Paul lived most of his life in Tulsa, working as a certified pubic accountant. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1946 and from Oklahoma State University in 1954. Paul served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division, he was a Second Lieutenant and a Korean War veteran. With his service in the military, Paul married and worked toward establishing his own CPA business. He is survived by four children and their spouses - Russell Paul Cecil, III of Los Gatos, Ca; Mary Michelle Cecil Stein, Dallas, Tx; Stephanie Cecil Mayes and husband Ken of Austin, Tx; and Carol Rene Dickey and husband Greg of Forth Worth, Tx. Survived by five grandchildren - Jennifer Ann Stein, Katherine Beth Stein, Diana Renee Mayes, Amy Michelle Dickey and Grant Russell Dickey. Also survived by a brother, Sam Cecil of Tishomingo, Ok., and a half-sister Janet Jones of Conway, Ar. Paul was a devoted Episcopalian and a long-time member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a strong advocate of higher education and all four of his children are college graduates. Paul will be missed by friends and clients. The family would like to thank the medical staff and caregivers at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Talihina, Ok. for making the past six months of his life comfortable. Services were held Tues. Jan. 15, at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Tulsa.
