All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 30, No. 12 Wednesday, March 21, 2001 Page 5 Lillian Conklin Cobb Lillian Cobb was born in Adair, Oklahoma on January 25, 1909 and passed into the Lord's arms on March 16, 2001 at the age of 92. As a young child, Mrs. Cobb moved to Osage County, where she lived the rest of her long, fruitful life. She married John Cobb on November 9, 1929 in Hominy. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren who wee blessed by her long life and living spirit. Mrs. Cobb was a member of The First Christian Church and of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one son, Pat Cobb and his wife Leta; four daughters, Lois Lawrence, Mary Helen Martin, hazel Scott and Mrs. Dean Hollowell (Dorothy); one daughter in-law, June Cobb, a grandson, great grandson, five sisters, two brothers and several nephews and numerous friends. Her husband John and one son, Jack Cobb, preceded her in death. Pallbearers were grandsons Jim Martin, Eddie Butcher and don Betchan; also Bill McCabe, Harvey Taylor and Orville Henley. Honorary Pallbearers were Allan Bates and Pat Smith. Brother Terry Jarrod officiated Mrs. Cobb's funeral service on Monday March 19, 2001 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Hominy, under the direction of Daniel C. Schoudt.
