Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, with Reverend Ross Atkins of the Bartlesvillle Church of God officiating. Burial will be in the Javine Cemetery near Barnsdall. Billy Joe was born November 22, 1979, at Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Emmet Earl & Mary Jo (Saferite) Hallagin and was raised in Osage County, graduating from the Barnsdall High School with the Class of 1995. He worked for McCann Industries in the oilfield and was a member of both the Osage and Cherokee Nations. Billy Joe is survived by his parents, Emmet and Mary Jo Hallagin of rural Pawhuska; one brother, Blaine Hallagin of Bransdall; two sisters, Diane Michael and Ida Shrakes of Bartlesville; his maternal grandmother, Zelma Saferite of Barnsdall; a special aunt and uncle, Melva & Earl Aldridge, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
