BROWN OCNS - June 11, 2000 - Bob G. Brown, 71, longtime Pawhuska, Oklahoma resident passed away June 8, 2000 in The St. John's Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. Bob was born on April 7, 1929 in Osage, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Oliver and Alto Velma (Cox) Brown. The Brown family lived on Sand Creek, north of Pawhuska for a number of years where Bob attended The Pappin School before finishing his education in The Pawhuska School System. He was married on June 7,1952 to Virginia Rose Firrel in Webb City, Oklahoma. Bob was employed in the oil field most of his life and worked in construction in the removing of railroads. Surviving in addition to his wife, Virginia of the home in Pawhuska, are six children; Amy Lou and Rodney Ricketts of Foraker, OK, Billy Joe and Christy Brown of Dewey, OK, Ronnie Gene and Delia Brown, Curtis Lee Brown, Debbie Sue and George Berghoefer and Denise Kaye and Robert Stanford, all of Pawhuska, OK; three sisters, Bernice Mains of Winfield, Kansas; Ruby Vogele of Shidler, Oklahoma and Doris Wilhelm of Winfield, Kansas; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be Tuesday. June 13, 2000 at 10:00 A.M. in The Light House Church in Pawhuska with burial In The Pappin Cemetery. Reverend Don Reed and Reverend Jackie Vogele will officiate under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Directors.
