Betty was born April 20, 1928 In Pawhuska, the daughter of Audie and Dot (Barnett) Moore. She attended Pawhuska Schools graduating Pawhuska High School In 1943. Betty worked 38 years for The Video Theatres, beginning at The State Theater and becoming Manager over The Kihekah, The State and The Circle A Theaters and Corral Drive-In Theater in Pawhuska. When these closed she worked for Clifton's Gift Shop, Howard's Insurance Agency, The Osage County Assessor's Office, Henry's Jewelry Store and Timmons Oil Company. Betty was a member of The First United Methodist Church and The American Legion Auxiliary Post #97. Surviving are: A sister, Audie Lee Phillips of Pawhuska; a brother, Earl Sumpter of Shawnee, Oklahoma; a niece and her husband, Diane and Bill Todd of Pawhuska; great nieces, Cyndy Pryor and Tara Miller of Pawhuska; a great nephew, John Pryor of Pawhuska; great nieces and nephews, Rylan Pryor, Abigail Pryor, Daniell Lookout, Pendelton Lookout, Christopher Miller, Matthew Miller, Katelyn Lookout and Madison Miller all of Pawhuska; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors, will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2000, in The Pawhuska Cemetery with Reverend Mark Smith officiating.
