Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, January 14, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will Be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, in The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in The Pawhuska Cemetery. Father Leonard Higgins will officiate. Betty was born May 21, 1918 in Pawhuska to Floyd and Pearl Quinton Cheshewalla and graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1937. June 19, 1940, she married Damon "Doc" Renfro and they were married fifty-nine years when Damon passed away on January 30, 2000. Betty was employed for twenty-eight years in the accounting department of the Bureau of Indian Affairs at the Osage Agency in Pawhuska and was an active member of the Pawhuska Community, the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Klash-Kah-She Club. She was also a member of the Osage Indian Tribe and the American Legion Auxiliary. She helped with the Christ's Cupboard and the Meals on Wheels and was always willing to help those in need. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Julie Greer of Denver, Colorado, Nita Grisham of Oklahoma City and Bette and Don Creel of Duncan, Oklahoma; a sister and brother-in-law, Mark and Eleanor Freeman and a brother and sister-in-law, Phillip "Dugan" and Jean Cheshewalla all of Pawhuska; a brother, Ted Edwards of California; a sister-in-law, Alma Cheshewalla of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a very special cousin, Violet Willis of Pawhuska. Betty's pride and joy were her grandchildren, Chad Renfro, Courtney Greer and Beau Neher as well as her grandsons who will be casket bearers, Donnie Creel, Jay Creel, John Greer, Nigel Grisham and Kevin Dressler and nephew Joseph Cheshewalla. Also surviving are two great grandsons and numerous other relatives and friends. Betty leaves with all of us her beautiful smile, quick wit and wonderful giving spirit. May God Bless Her.
