COLEMAN OCNS - March 29, 2002 - Lifelong resident of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Clara L. Coleman, 90, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2002, in the Pawhuska, Hospital. Clara L. Bowhan was born August 26, 1911, in Pawhuska, the daughter of mart T. and Ida Mae (Trumbly) Bowhan. She worked for many years in Pawhuska as a sales clerk for Longstreet's Variety and the C.R. Anthony Company. Clara was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors are: Her son, Robert Erwin and wife, Ann, of Missoula, Montana; her daughter, Betty Slinkard and husband, J.D., of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a brother, Jake Bowhan of Pawhuska; six grandchildren: Dr. R. Guy Erwin of Thousand Oaks, California, Amity Parks of Missoula, Jerry Slinkard of Weatherford, Texas, Joe Slinkard of Azle, Texas, Kerry Yancey of Pawhuska, and Rae Ann Young of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; her great-granddaughter, Natasha Yancey of Pawhuska, who served as her grandmother's caregiver, eight additional great- grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Clara was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings - Frances, Erin, Mildred, Ida, Mae and Josephine. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 2, at 10:00 a.m., in the Pawhuska City Cemetery with Dr. R. Guy Erwin, grandson of Ms Coleman, officiating. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
