He was born on December 10.1926 in Dewey, Oklahoma, he was the son of Walter and Jessie May Chambers Clay, Sr. During World War 2 he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for Oliver F. Nelson Milk Company for many years before becoming a driver for the Associated Milk Producers.Inc.,in Wichita. He is survived by one son Danny Clay of Manitou Springs, Colorado, two step-daughter Minnie Noel of Tulsa,Oklahoma and Rose Marie Russell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son William Walter "Bill" Clay. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hawks Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Benefiel officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Military Committal; services conducted by Spencer Ralston V F W Post #1254. The casket will remain closed at all times, friends may call at the funeral home Saturday between 9 a m and 9 p m. Sunday noon until 9 p m. Arrangements by Hawks Funeral Home, 115 East 5th Ave.
