Allen Melton officiating. Organist was Mrs. Claude White and vocalists were Mrs. Wanda Hickey and Mrs. Lavone Anderson. Casketbearers were: Dee White, Mark White, Claude White, Oliver Sultz, Lonnie Morse and Gary Dowler. Interment was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Grant-Elder Funeral Home. Clay was born on July 24, 1897 in Arkansas City, the daughter of Jess and Amelia Ann Hall Chambers. She married Walter Clay on Feb. 4, 1919 in Bartlesville, Okla. and he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1948. [Note: Jessie died July 06, 1981 in Arkansas City, KS.]
