The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CLARENCE EARL BAKER OCNS-March 3, 2000 - Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, at 2:00 p.m., in the Johnson Chapel in Pawhuska for Clarence Earl Baker who passed away unexpectedly at his home in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, February 29, 2000. Mr. Baker was born July 11, 1917 in Blackburn, Oklahoma, the son of John and Florence (Brown) Baker and was married August 26, 1942 in Perry, Oklahoma to Iva V. Jordan who preceded him in death October 8, 1990. October 27, 1994 he married Meja Kelly in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and they made their home in Pawhuska. An oil field mechanic, Clarence was retired from Calumet Oil Company. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 989. Survivors in addition to his wife, Meja of the home are: five children, Micki Williams, Midge Shipp, Alan Baker all of Pawhuska and Celestine Kerr of Shidler, Oklahoma; a sister, Ruby Bishop of St. Louis, Missouri; six step-children, Wylone Brews and Mike Kelly of Hutchinson, Kansas; Michelle Brown and Linda Kinamon of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Sheila Kennis of Perkins, Oklahoma and Marshall Kelly of Twin Falls, Idaho; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Interment will be in the Pawhuska Cemetery with Reverend Mike Chamber officiating under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors.
