"PENROD" CLEM OCNS - March 4, 2002 - Clarence H. "Penrod" Clem, 82, passed away Friday, march 1, 2002, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Mr. Clem was born April 21, 1919, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, the son of William and Verna (Lucas) Clem. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. Mr. Clem worked for the BARECO/Petrolite Corporation as a pipefitter retiring after forty years of service and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Osage Tribe of Indians. Surviving are: Four daughters, Judith K. Lookout and husband, Mongrain of Hominy, Oklahoma; Willa Jean Podeyn and husband, Fred of San Jose, California; Cara Suzanne Bennett and husband, Richard of Irving, Texas, and Marta Lynn Hahaitty and husband, Geary of Oklahoma City; a son, Richard William Clem and wife, LeeAnn of Barnsdall; two brothers, Vern Clem and wife, Betty of Grove, Oklahoma, and James Clem and wife, Jan of Bartlesville; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Clem was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and a grandson, J.R. Lookout. Services were held Monday, March 4, at 10:00 a.m., in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, with Reverend Raymond Henson officiating. Interment was in the Lookout Family Cemetery east of Pawhuska, where graveside Military Rites were performed by The American Legion and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
