SUTTON OCNS - January 18, 2001 - Former resident of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Cleo Timothy (C.T.) Sutton, 80, passed away Monday, January 15, 2001, at his residence in Tulsa, following an extended illness. Born March 21, 1920, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, C.T. was the son of Chester and Sally (Browning) Sutton. They moved to Pawhuska when C.T. was five years old. In 1946 he and Florence Potts were married and after a number of years of driving back and forth to work, they moved their family to Tulsa in 1966. C.T. was a construction foreman, retiring after more than forty years of service. Survivors in addition to his wife, Florence of the home are: nine sons; Larry Rowland, Jerry Rowland, Kent Sutton, Cleo (Timmy) Sutton, Jr., Edmund Clegg Sutton, Rodney Sutton, Tony Sutton, Joel Sutton and Jonathan Sutton; three daughters; Jacquelyn Sutton-Colliver, Marian Sutton and Sandra (Sissy) Sutton-Morgan; two sisters; Octavia Waters and Nadine Harper; forty-five grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. In addition to his parents, C.T. was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Services will be held Friday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska with interment in the Pawhuska City Cemetery with the Reverend Rae Allen Orr officiating. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
