The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CLAYTON ROBERT BOHNSACK OCNS - May 20, 2002 - Mr. Clayton Robert Bohnsack, 79, a resident of Barnsdall, Oklahoma and independent oil producer, died at 7:55 p.m., Friday, May 17, in the Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Mass of the Resurrection for Mr. Bohnsack will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Barnsdall, St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Leonard Higgins as the celebrant. Dedication of the grave, committal prayers and interment will be directed in the Ethel Reese Cemetery, Barnsdall by The Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home. Mr. Bohnsack will lie in state in the Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home where friends may call for their visitation until he is removed to the church for final rites on Wednesday morning. The family requests that friends contribute to the charity of their choice in memory of Mr. Bohnsack. Clayton Robert Bohnsack was born June 13, 1922 at Eudora, Kansas, the son of Daniel Carl and Elizabeth Antoinette (Madi) Bohnsack. He moved with his family members to the Wolco community in Osage County, Oklahoma where he attended the Rural School District #72 in Wolco through the eighth grade before completing his education in the Barnsdall Public Schools. He was graduated with the Barnsdall High School Senior Class of 1940. He and Lily May Craig were united in marriage October 25, 1941 at South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and made their home in Barnsdall. Mr. Bohnsack was an employee of the Barnsdall Refinery until 1942 when the Bohnsacks joined the Defense Corps. During their tenure with the Defense Corps, Mr. & Mrs. Bohnsack traveled to Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and worked on the Hanford Project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. They returned to Barnsdall in 1946 and Clayton was employed with the Harlem Oil Company where he worked until going in to business for himself as an oil field servicing and drilling company which progressed into a production company. He was active in this business until his retirement in 1986. He had also been active part time in the investment business and living in Barnsdall in retirement. Mr. Bohnsack was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Skiatook Masonic Lodge #416 A.F.& A.M. and a past member of the Bartlesville Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lily May (Craig) Bohnsack of the Barnsdall home; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Craig "Dan" and Liana (Crane) Bohnsack, Nowata, Oklahoma; a daughter, Ms Shelley Bohnsack of Barnsdall; a brother, Dana Carl Bohnsack and a grand daughter, Deana Bohnsack of Nowata. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Eugene E. "Gene" Bohnsack, Elmer D. Bohnsack and Milton J. Bohnsack and a sister, Miss Zella M. Bohnsack.
