All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 33, No. 40 Wednesday, October 3, 2001 Page 5 Eva Lee Davidson Eva Lee Davidson was born October 12, 1911 in Harrison, Ark. to Beatrice Green Brown and Samuel Brown. Eva entered into rest on Sept. 28, 2001 in Sapulpa. She was 89 years old. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, Eva Lee was raised and educated in Hominy. She graduated from Hominy High School in 1929. Eva married Cecil L. Davidson in March of 1930. Eva and Cecil lived in Hominy where they raised their children. Eva worked as a cook for the Middle Enterprise School and Blackburn High School. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed canning and sharing her canned goods with family and friends. She was a very giving person, always enjoyed cooking and taking food to share with her neighbors and friends. She loved cooking, sewing and quilting. She loved her home church and church family at the Saint Matthews Episcopal Church in Sand Springs. She loved all her children and grandchildren. Eva Lee is survived by one sister Pauline Ogden of LaQuinta, CA; two daughters, Sybil Lovett and husband Donald of Sapulpa and Donna Woods of Coweta; two sons, Clayton Davidson and wife Gaylen of Tulsa and Donald Davidson of Bartlesville; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren, numberous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of friends. Eva Lee was preceded in death by both her parents, one brother Lloyd E. Brown, one daughter-in-law Margaret Davidson, and one granddaughter Joann Long. Services for Eva Lee were at 10 a.m. Wed., Oct. 3, 2001 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Sand Springs. Officiating services was Father Clark Shackleford. Serving as casket escorts were Roy Tyner, Rod Ruthrauff, Bob Rankin, Clay Langley, Chris Hart and Derald Clow. Interment was at A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy.
