Michael went to be with our Lord on Fri. Sept. 14, 2001. He was 19 years old. Michael, whom most people knew as "Joe," was raised and schooled in Berryhill, graduating from Berryhill High School in the year 2000, where he was VICA President of Woodworking. Joe was a very skilled woodworker who took great pride in what he did. His nephew, Kenneth, called Joe his "Builder." Joe was a 2000 graduate of the Tulsa Technology Center. He was employed at Madison Inc. in the Construction area. Joe was a very special person who never met a stranger, never hestating to help someone in need. He was always ready to help friends and family no matter what he was doing for himself. He loved to fish and travel, he really liked cats. Joe loved all of the wonders of nature, working in his garden was something he really enjoyed, having a garden as long as anyone can remember. He really loved his nephew, Kenneth, always finding time to spend with him and dealing with him so patiently. Joe was not only a good son, brother, grandson, and uncle but also a good friend, someone to whom you could talk to about anything. Joe really loved life. His family is extremely proud of him and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joe is survived by his parents Carol and Logan Davis of Berryhill, one sister Carrol Antionia Brown and her husband Don of Eufaula, two brothers Jack Logan Davis and James Daniel Davis both of Berryhill, two nieces Jessica Antionia Brown and Nicole Kay Brown, one nephew, Joe's buddy, Kenneth Logan Brown all of Eufaula, grandmother Jeaneeta Davis of Osage and grandmother Linda (Monroe) McCoullough and her husband George of Hominy. Several uncles, aunts and cousins and a host of good friends. Joe was preceded in death by two grandfathers Logan (Buck) Davis and Jack H. Monroe and one aunt, Etta Thompson. Services for Joe were held at 10 a.m. Tues. Sept. 18, 2001 in Berryhill, at the Berryhill High School Auditorium. Officiating the services was Reverend Bryan Norris. Casket bearers were Will Wilson, Jim Harn, Randy Lundy, John Harwood, Rick Napier and Kevin McCleery. Honoray casket bearers will be Mark Carlson and Erek Ernest. Interment was at A. J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy.
