Fahle BORGER - Mark A. Fahle, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Westlawn Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. in First Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Cox of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Fahle was born in Big Heart, Okla., and had been a Borger resident for 72 years. He graduated from Borger High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army for four years as an artillery captain. He landed with the 35th Division on Omaha Beach and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, Mr. Fahle returned to Borger and became an independent oil producer. He retired in 1985. He was a member of First Christian Church and a past president of the Kiwanis Club. Mr. Fahle married Dorothy Sawyers in 1951 at Clayton, N.M.
