All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Ivy Lawn Memorial Park--Ventura CA Josephine Freeman Former Ventura resident, Ms. Josephine Freeman, 69, of Spokane, Wash., died Wednesday at home after a brief illness. Mrs. Freeman was born Dec 24, 1902 in Pawhuska, Okla., and lived in Ventura for 30 years until moving to Spokane in 1960. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Billie Van Horn of Ventura, Mrs Zola Mae Francissotty of Ojai, and Mrs Shirley Tipke of Spokane; one son, C O Miller of Cottonwood Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Charles Carroll Chapel of the Good Shepherd with V. H. McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park. ======== James Freeman has no connection to OK other than being married to Josephine, a native of Osage County, so his obit is included with hers. James Freeman James W Freeman, 74-year old retired carpenter, died yesterday at a local hospital. He lived at 250 E Pleasant Valley Rd, Oxnard. A native of Florida, Mr Freeman was a resident of Ventura for 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Josephine, Oxnard; three daughters, Mrs Zola Mae Franciscotty, Ojai; Mrs Billie June Bailey, Ventura, and Mrs Shirley Tipke-Mead of Washington; two sons, Buford and Grant of Arizona and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from Charles Carroll Funeral Home with the Rev Vernon McCormick officiating, Virginia Catlin will be soloist; Beverly Eidson, organist.
