GOLAY OCNS - February 7, 2001 - Delores M. Golay, 69, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away, Friday evening, February 2, 2001 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Ponca City. Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 6, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Ponca City, with Reverend John Waterloo presiding. Delores was born February 2, 1932 at Ponca City, the daughter of Edward G. Ferrell and Mable (Searcy) Ferrell and attended Ponca City public schools with the exception of one year in Portland, Oregon. She was a hairdresser for some fifty years and was a member of the Sunset Baptist Church. Her enjoyments included fishing, camping and cooking out. Survivors include her husband, Charley of the home; four children, Sherry Golay and companion, Everett Staggs, Ponca City; Sam Golay and wife, Tonja, Deer Creek, Oklahoma; Sharlee Kolberg and companion, Greg Twist, Sperry, Oklahoma, and Stoney Golay and fiancée, Nikki King, Ponca City; one brother, Bobby Ferrell, Sr., and wife, Hanako, Ponca City; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Steve John Golay and Stuart Lee Golay and one sister, Betty Cunningham.
