PINNEY, Sr. OCNS - February 4, 2000 - Longtime private investigator and former Osage County (Oklahoma) Sheriff's Deputy Dale M. Pinney, Sr., 59, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2002, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Dale Martin Pinney was born January 25, 1943, in Geneseo, Kansas, the son of Delbert and Myrl (Magee) Pinney and on January 15, 1982, married the former Norma Jean Barnett in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Surviving are: his wife, Norma Jean Pinney of the home in Pawhuska; two sons, Dale Martin Pinney, Jr., of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Randall William Pinney of Bartlesville; his mother, Myrl Pinney of Avant, Oklahoma; his brother, Larry Pinney and wife, Sue, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grand- children and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 29, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Henson officiating. Interment was in the Pinney Family Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
