Nov. 17, 2001. Denby was born on August 2, 1922 in Hominy, Ok., to Earl and Bessie (Mills) Copeland. Denby married Juanita Davis on July 29, 1946 in Pawnee, Ok. and they shared 55 memorable years together. He served in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran. Mr. Copeland was a dispatcher for Kerr McGee. Denby is survived by his loving wife, Juanita of the home; daughter, Frances Breshears of Sand Springs; sixteen grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and sister, Helen Enfield of Helena, Mt. Denby was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Bessie Copeland; son, Dale Driskell, and brother, Glen Copeland. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am Tues. Nov. 20, 2001 at Trinity Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Ok. with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Ok. under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
