Denna Kay was born September 24, 1946 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Russell and Audra (McCowan) Moneypenny and February 27, 1965, in Cairo, West Virginia, she married Ray Oliver Varner. For twenty years she worked at Winan's Janitorial Supply as an accountant/bookkeeper. In 1989, the Varners moved to Oklahoma to be near their only daughter and grandchildren and for the past ten years, Denna Kay worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer, later becoming manager of the Hominy, Oklahoma office. She had also worked for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Denna Kay's greatest joys were her four grandchildren whom she loved and adored very much. Survivors include: Her huband, Ray Oliver Varner of the home; her daughter, Renee Kennedy and husband, Tracy of Wynona; her four grandchildren, Nicole Marie, Alicia Ann, Kalee Dawn and Tracy Ray Kennedy, all of Wynona; twelve brothers and sisters, Russell, Steve, Mike, Doug, Elizabeth, Genie, Jamie, Rose, Randall, Sandy, Michelle and Gary; and a host of other family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, in the Pawhuska (Oklahoma) City Cemetery with Father Leonard Higgins officiating. Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska is in charge of arrangements.
