The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FRIDAY SERVICES FOR DOROTHY BICKFORD OCNS-September 9, 1999 - Graveside services will be held Friday, September 10, at 2 p.m., in the Pawhuska Cemetery for Dorotha Carroll Bickford, longtime Pawhuska resident. Dorotha was born March 25, 1928 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of William Earl and Helen (Drury) Carroll and died unexpectedly September 8, 1999 in the Pawhuska Hospital. Dorotha attended Pawhuska schools, was later employed at the G&L Drug Store and was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Kirk of Oklahoma City; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Gene Bickford of Whitewater, Kansas; Scott Bickford of Wichita; Pete and Lisa Bickford of Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Kyle and Michele Bickford of Wichita; a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Jay Esley of Tulsa; a brother, Charles O. "Bing" Carroll of Fontana, California; a sister-in-law, Sally Carroll of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, fourteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorotha was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy P. Carroll and Harold Carroll. The Reverend Raymond Redcorn of Pawhuska will officiate under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors.
