Hall Tilley, 85, of Hominy, Oklahoma, died Saturday, April 6, 2002 at the Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, Illinois. The former Edith Boswell was born August 14, 1916 in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma the daughter of James & Eliza Hiser Boswell. On November 3, 1932, in Hominy, Edith married Travis Hall who preceded her in death May 25, 1976. June 7, 1978, in Wynona, Oklahoma, Edith was united in marriage to Buck Tilley and he preceded her in death May 14, 2001. Edith worked on the family farm then later worked as a cook in the Hominy Public Schools as well as for Munsingwear and the Senior Citizen's. She was also very active in the First Assembly of God Church in Hominy where she taught the Junior Girl's Sunday School and was President of the Women's Ministries. She also attended the Assembly of God Church in Genesceo, where she had moved in 2001 to live with her son. Survivors include: Her son Tom and his wife, Gloria Hall of Geneseo; daughter, Clara and her husband Charlie Hudspeth of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter; sisters, Winnie Howell of Republic, Missouri and Paula Shook of Yuma, Arizona; and a brother, James Boswell of Billings, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, son J.B. Hall and a sister, LaVerne Nucero. Services were held Wednesday, April 10, at the Assembly of God Church in Hominy with burial in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Cleveland, Oklahoma.
