Mr. Rodgers was born December 31, 1930 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the son of William and Agnes (Aitchison) Rodgers. September 13, 1975 in Denver, Colorado, he married Isabel D. Garcia. For the past twenty years, the Rodgers' lived in the Wynona area and Mr. Rodgers worked as a maintenance engineer for the Osage County Housing Authority. He was a member of the American Legion Post #198 in Pawhuska, having served in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was always willing to help out his family and friends. Survivors include: His wife, Isabel D. Rodgers of the home; his mother, Agnes VanDusen of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; his children, Lou Anne Lyons, William H. Rodgers and Arnold Patrick Valdez all of Denver, Colorado, Alexander Timmons of Grayford, Texas, Gerianne M. Bass of Pittsburg, Kansas, Kathleen C. Smith of Louisville, Indiana, Christine E.R. Fudge of Belthrop, Texas; a grandson, Paul John "P.J." Park raised by the Rodgers', of the home; two brothers, Andrew Rodgers of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Tom H. McKinnell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Edith Tuller of Wynona; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews living from Oklahoma to Hawaii, and a host of other family and friends. In accordance with his request, Mr. Rodgers was cremated. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 26, in the Johnson Funeral Chapel, 223 East Sixth Street, Pawhuska with Deacon Sam Campbell officiating. Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska is in charge of arrangements.
