Ed was born December 3, 1958, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the son of Edward Louis and Marilyn (Row) Shangreau and lived most of his life in the Pawhuska area, graduating with the Pawhuska High School Class of 1977. On May 12, 1990, in Pawhuska, he married the former Cherrie Barker. Ed was a charter member of the Osage County Independent Bikers (OCIB), a member of the Mid-America Mud Racing Association and Midway Motors. Ed was a member of the Osage and Ogallala-Sioux Tribes. Survivors in addition to his wife, Cherrie Shangreau of the home are, his children, Eddie Shangreau, Eden Shangreau and Tonya Hutson, all of the home; his mother and step-father, Marilyn and Gene Hooper of Pawhuska; his brothers-in-law, Sam Barker and wife, Donna, of Pawhuska and Ken Wells and wife, Mary; his sister-in-law, Susan Frost and husband, Todd, of Pawhuska; nieces and nephews, Lane and Charlse Frost, Emily, Katie, Meagan and Luke Wells; and Hallie, Elise and Casey Winter; and a host of other family and many friends. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Louis Shangreau on March 31, 1982. Graveside services will be Thursday, December 20, at 2:00 p.m., in the Pawhuska City Cemetery with Father Mike Jarvis of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church officiating. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A trust fund has been established for Cherrie Shangreau at NBC Bank, Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
