Born October 7, 1912 in Chelsea, Oklahoma, to George and Mary Frances (Simpson) Carter, Edna married A.E. Potter January 2, 1940 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, where they made their home. Mrs. Potter was a member of The Baptist Church and the Cherokee Indian Tribe. Survivors in addition to her husband, A.E. Potter of the home are two sons, Gary Potter of the home and Aubrey Potter of Kearney, Missouri; a sister, Pearl Christenson of Lindsborg, Kansas; a brother, George Carter of San Angelo, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2000 at 2:00 p.m., in The Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska with burial to follow in the PPawhuska Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors.
