The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EVA MARIE (LYTLE) McCAULEY OCNS - May 14, 2002 - Mrs. Eva Marie (Lytle) McCauley, 74, widow of Mr. George Washington McCauley and a native of Osage County, Oklahoma, died at 6:36 a.m., on Saturday, May 11, 2002, in the Jane Phillips Memorial Medical Center. A rosary for Mrs. McCauley will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, in the Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home Chapel. The mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2002, in the Barnsdall St. Mary's Catholic church with Father Leonard Higgins as the celebrant. Committal prayers and dedication of the grave will be directed in the Ethel Reese Cemetery, Barnsdall, Oklahoma, by the Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home. Mrs. McCauley will lie in state in the Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home where friends may call for their visitation until she is removed to the church for final rites on Wednesday morning. A native of Oklahoma, Eva Marie Lytle was born August 16, 1927 on the Carter Nine oil lease (south of Shidler) community in Osage county, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Maxwell and Tillie Ethel (Mower) Lytle. She was reared and educated in the Avant, Oklahoma schools. November 20, 1943 she and George Washington McCauley were united in marriage at Pawhuska, Oklahoma and they established their home on a farm south of Barnsdall. They continued their farm home until 1946 when they moved into Barnsdall. Mrs. McCauley was employed by the Leo Diehl Grocery Store for three years. Mr. McCauley was an employee of the Public Service Company of Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1977. Mrs. McCauley joined the Barnsdall Senior Citizens Center as kitchen staff and retired in 1989 as the coordinator of the center following twelve years of service. Eva had remained a resident of the Barnsdall community, living in retirement. Eva was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Barnsdall. Surviving are her sons, Frank and his wife, Kim, David and his wife, Rhonda, and James P. "Jimmy" and his wife, Debbie, all of Barnsdall; a daughter, Mrs. Karen Anne (McCauley) Mayfield, Barnsdall; a sister, Mrs. Raymond (Laura) Henson of Avant, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Eva was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John Russell and three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Turner, Mrs. Josephine Hastings and Mrs. Mary Juanita Garrett.
