Ashton Email: listsa7476@sbcglobal.net ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLETCHER, James William - born in Virginia Aug. 15, 1843, died at Hurd, Okla., Jan. 16, 1927, aged 83 years, five months, one day. He moved to West Virginia where he married and resided for several years, moving with wife and seven children to Nevada, Mo., in 1888. Two daughters and one son died there. He moved to Pawhuska in 1912 and engaged in fruit and truck raising in the Industrial Addition. His wife died here in 1919. A son, Ernest, died at his farm on Sand Creek north of this city about 17 years ago. Mr. Fletcher married Mrs. Elizabeth Fishroe several years ago and since resided at Okesa and Hurd. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Rose Van Noy, Pawhuska, Mrs. O. R. Hill, Moundville, Mo., two sons, Robert, of Hurd, and Edward, address unknown. Eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Fletcher was wll and favorably known as a man of integrity and industry, working actively until his last illness incapacitated him.
