CHESBRO OCNS - June 5, 2001 - Floriene M. Chesbro, 82, passed away Monday, May 28, 2001, in the Pawhuska Hospital. Floriene M. Woodard was born September 24, 1918, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank and Effie (Childers)) Woodard. She was a Citizen of the Creek Nation, a member of the First Baptist Church, a former Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts of America, an avid reader and always a devoted mother. Survivors are: her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Faatz of Columbus, Indiana; her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Randi Chesbro of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Claire Lemke, Mackenzie Chesbro and Cameron Chesbro, and a host of family and friends. Mrs. Chesbro was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Chesbro, Sr., in 1988, and a granson, Kevin Vahey, in 1987. Graveside services were held Thursday, May 31, in the Pawhuska City Cemetery with Dr. Larry Wallace of the First Baptist Church, Pawhuska, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requested contributions be made to the Pawhuska Nursing Home Activity Fund, P.O. Box 959, Pawhuska, OK, 74056, or to the Bartlesville, Indian Women's Club, Scholarship Fund, c/o Paula Pethonick, P.O. Box 344, Dewey, OK, 74029 Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska, was in charge of arrangements.
