The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FRANK FOREMAN FAULKNER Frank Foreman Faulkner, son of David Jesse and Jen McClellan (Foreman) Faulkner was born December 23, 1905 in the Oowala District North of Claremore, Oklahoma. He attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri and the University of Oklahoma at Norman. While at OU he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. September 16, 1928 he married Hiliary Martin of Pawhuska. She preceded him in death on January 31, 1994. Also preceding him in death besides his parents were his brothers Rogers Faulkner, Dave Faulkner (longtime Tulsa County Sheriff), Taylor Faulkner (longtime Rogers County Commissioner} and sisters Teanie Fronkier, Oolucha Barrett and Ahniwake Jennings. He is survived by one sister, Cooleela Faulkner of Claremore and 13 nieces and nephews. One of his first jobs was as manaqer of a ranch near Broken Arrow, Oklahoma owned by I. S. Robson. Later he worked in Osage County until he bought his own ranch West of Pawhuska where he resided for over 60 years. His hobby and great love was attending and competing in Rodeos. He won The World Championship Steer Roping at Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1937. He was active in the Osage County Cattleman's Association and the Steer Roping Hall of Fame in Pawhuska. Graveside Services will be Friday, February 5, 2000 at 2iOO P.M. in The Pawhuska Cemetery. Reverend Scott Fischer will officiate. Under the direction's of Johnson's Funeral directors.
