The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FRANCIS MARION JECH OCNS - March 30, 2000 - Francis Marion Jech, 74, was born January 30, 1926 in Okarche, Oklahoma, the son of Henry Paul and Lucinda Elizabeth (Grimes) Jech and passed away March 29, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, following an extended illness. The Jech family moved from Okarche to Kingfisher, Oklahoma and later to Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Francis and Mary Wise Conner were married April 15, 1973 in Sedan, Kansas and made their home in Pawhuska. Francis attended the Pawhuska School System and during his senior year in 1945, he entered the United States Army, serving in World War II, before returning to Pawhuska where he was a partner with his brother, Glen in custom farming. He will be remembered for his old stories and his great cooking ability. Survivors in addition to his wife, Mary of the home are: two daughters, Lavon and her husband John Newell of Bixby, Oklahoma and Theresa and her husband, Chuck Maxwell; a son, Stewart and his wife, Miranda Conner; a brother, Glen and his wife, Vivian Jech; a sister, Janet and her husband, Jerry Loftis all of Pawhuska; grandchildren, Natalie and husband Dr. Hector Ferrer of Bixby; Michael, Miranda and Joseph Conner; Ashton Bowman and Clayton Maxwell all of Pawhuska; great grandchildren, Daniel and Melissa Ferrer of Bixby and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, in The Fist Christian Church in Pawhuska with the Reverend Ronald Eldridge officiating under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors.
