All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 33, No. 39 Wednesday, September 26, 2001 Page 5 Ivan Gray Ivan Gray, longtime Hominy resident passed away on Thurs., Sept. 20, 2001 at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center at the age of eighty-three years, three months and one day. Ivan was born on June 19, 1918 to R. D. and Grace Gray. Ivan spent many years at the Eastern Oklahoma Hospital in Vinita where he began his love for gardening. He served as the gardener on the hospital grounds for many years. Ivan moved to the Hominy Nursing Home in 1975 where he has continued to reside until his death. Ivan was affiliated with the Baptist Church. He also loved to play the harmonica. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Teddy Fox and Roy Gray. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Dixon of Pawhuska, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends at the Hominy Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Mon., Sept. 24, 2001 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Gary McDevitt officiating. Burial will be at the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
