Griffin, 71-year-old retired farmer, were conducted Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of the Powell Funeral home with the Rev. R. H. Miller, pastor of the Oak Hill Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in the Hominy cemetery. Griffin died Sunday at the family home, 8181 South Reagan avenue. Music for the services was provided by Florence Dukes and Marie Chase with Mrs. H. A. Hartshorn, Jr., at the piano. Casket bearers were Max Keeling, Willard Beckham, Gerald Lay, Robert Treat, Claude Lay and Clinton Self. Born in Delmer county, Georgia, March 7, 1878, he was married to Ina Hall January 17, 1897. The family moved from Georgia to Texas and after residing in that state for 14 years moved to Oklahoma where they continued to make their home. He had lived in Osage and Pawnee counties since coming to this state. Mr. and Mrs. Griffin observed their 52nd wedding anniversary last January. He had been a farmer by profession all his life but had been retired for several years and made his home in Hominy. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Robert Griffin of Lovington, N. M., and George Griffin, Hominy; two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Anna Robinson, Pawhuska, and Mrs. Ethel Lambert, Hominy; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
