All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 33, No. 52 Dec. 26, 2001 John Louis Hendricks, Sr. John Louis Hendricks born Dec. 20, 1924, in Hominy, passed away Tues. Dec. 18, 2001, in Houston, Tx. Mr. Hendricks was a graduate of Hominy High School and attended Oklahoma University for two years. He was a veteran of World War II serving his country proudly in the 9th Air Force, 391st Bomb Group as a B-26 Tail Gunner. Mr. Hendricks was employed by Western Geophysical for 29 years. In his leisure time, he loved to build model airplanes and was a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Edna Campbell Hendricks. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Martha Belle Pope Hendricks; sons, John L. Hendricks; Jr., Mark Hendricks and wife Mary Kay; and David Hendricks and wife Tammy; and Grandchildren, Adrian; Ryan; Chase and Bryce. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Thurs. Dec. 20, 2001, at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 5900 Pinemont. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Sat. Dec. 22, 2001, in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Hendrick's name to the American Heart Association.
