Powell Cemetery--Hominy OK The Hominy News - Progress Wednesday, July 24, 2002 Page 5 William Harvey Hoopes William (Bill) Harvey Hoopes was born in Ponca City July 8, 1903 and passed away on July 16, 2002 in Hobbs, NM, at the age of 99 years and 8 days. William was employed by Texaco Oil Company for 45 and worked as a pumper at Naval Reserve. He retired from Texaco in 1966 and moved to Mannford where he lived until 1983. He then resided with his son Dale Hoopes in Hobbs, New Mexico until he passed away. He attended the Assembly of God Church. William was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers, two sisters, one daughter and one grandson. William is survived by his son Dale Hoopes from Hobbs, New Mexico; his daughter Carolyn Ferrara from Seattle, Wa.; sister Cleo Reed of Bristow; grandson Brandon Swanson from Seattle, Wa.; grandson Kerry Burks from North Carolina; granddaughter Shanna Terrell from Jal, New Mexico; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Services were under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, NM., in conjunction with Powell Funeral Home of Hominy. Services were held Wed. July 24, 2002 at A. J.
