Keeling Horton On Feb. 12, 2002 Judith A. Horton was suddenly called to heaven. She was born on Sept. 20, 1940 in Pawhuska, to Mrs. Floy Alma (Hiser) Keeling and Mr. Loyd F. Keeling. She was 61 years old. Judy was educated at Middle Enterprise and Ponca City Schools. She met Parker Horton at a high school homecoming game they dated and fell in love. They were united in marriage in Tonkawa on May 25, 1957. They raised their family in the Hominy area. Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wynona for many years. She later moved her membership to the Victory Baptist Church in Pershing being one of the founding members of this new congregation. She was very active in the church, she took care of the offering, and was a member of the fellowship committee. She was active in many other things as well. She enjoyed bowling, being the bowling secretary and helping with tournaments. She loved to clog dance. She was a member of the Clearwater and 11th Street Cloggers of Tulsa, they performed at the Tulsa State Fair and the Wynona Founders Day to name a few. She also enjoyed going camping with her family. Judy was always helping others, always willing to give a hand in anyway. She had many good friends that will greatly miss her. Judy leaves behind her husband of 44 years Andrew Parker Horton of the home, her father Loyd F. Keeling of Ponca City, one brother Dwight Ray Keeling of Ponca City, two sisters Betty Jean Barber of Ponca City, Geraldean and husband James Bass of Stringer, TX, 5 children, a son Andrew James Horton and wife Keni of Dewey, a son Elvin Dale Horton and wife Tammi of Mannford, a son Lloyd Ray Horton of Ponca City, a daughter Merry Lynn and husband Jeff Lewis of Blue Earth, M.N., a son Shelton Parker Horton and wife Carrie Lynn of Ponca City, 11 grandchildren Andrew Parker Horton II, Joseph Thomas Horton, James Lloyd Horton all of Dewey, Justin Lee Earl White of Ponca City, Carl Owens of Hominy, Jessica Elaine Horton, Jacob Allen Horton both of Ponca City, Elvin Dale Horton Jr., of Muskogee, Michael Horton of Alamorgordo, N.M., Brittany Horton, and Chelsea Elizabeth Horton both of Mannford. A special friends Loretta Little. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of good friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Floy Alma Hiser Keeling. Services for Judy were Feb. 15, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Victory Baptist Church in Pershing. Serving as pallbearers were Jack Cross, Billy Swindell, Danny Washington, Steve Easley, Jay Hough, Eddie Horn. Honorary pallbearer was William Cookson. Pastor John White officiated services.
