"RUSTY" BROWN OCNS - October 2, 2002 - Glen G. "Rusty" Brown, 56, son of Mrs. Georgia G. (Smith) Brown, died during his sleep Monday, September 30, 2002 at his mother's family residence in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday in the Ethel Reese Cemetery, Barnsdall, Oklahoma with Pastor Jerry Fields of the Victory Chapel Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Final rites will be directed by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service. A native of Pawhuska, Osage County, Oklahoma, Glen G. Brown was born February 10, 1946 the son of Darl L. and Georgia Gene (Smith) Brown. The Brown family moved from the Barnsdall community to Belleville, Illinois as they followed the military career of Glen's father with the United States Air Force. "Rusty" was reared and received his education on the Island of Okinawa prior to the family returning to the United States and making their home in Enid, Oklahoma where he continued his education. They were later stationed on the Azores Island near Portugal prior to returning to the United States and making their home at Great Falls, Montana. They later moved to Tachikawa, Japan, returning to Amarillo, Texas where his father was retired from his military career. The Brown family moved to Anchorage, Alaska. "Rusty" graduated from the Barnsdall High School with the Senior Class of 1964 and during the Vietnam Conflict was active as a United States Navy Seal. He later moved to San Diego, California where he was active as a security guard and, for several years, was a truck driver. Three years ago returned to Bartlesville to live near his family. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Diane McIntire; three grandchildren, Sammy McIntire, C.J. McIntire and Alisa McIntire; his mother, Mrs. Georgia Brown of the Bartlesville home and one sister, Ms Rebecca Ann Brown, Huntington Beach, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Darl L. Brown.
