She was born February 22, 1945, at Baxter Springs, Kansas to Benjamin Franklin Grier and Hazel (Richardson) Grier and later moved to Hominy where she attended Hominy High School. Gloria married Charles Lott in 1964 and the couple had two sons. She later married J.T. Lott who survives at the home. Gloria worked in secretarial and clerical positions and was employed at Benson Lumber Company in Pawhuska for several years but was working in Tulsa at the time of her death. Gloria was known as a very loving and devoted mother. Survivors in addition to her husband are: two sons, Tony Lott of Overland Park, Kansas and Shane Lott of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her mother, Hazel Grier of Peru, Kansas; three sisters, Thyra Wright of Joplin, Missouri, Tammy Grier and Sherry Long, both of Peru, Kansas, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Frank Grier. Cremation has taken place. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 1999 at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy with inurnment to follow. Friends may sign the book of remembrance at Powell Funeral Home and at the cemetery until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Powell Funeral Home of Hominy.
