The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ GERALDINE BLOOMFIELD OCNS - February 7, 2001 - Geraldine Bloomfield, 75, lifelong resident of Shidler, Oklahoma, passed away Friday evening, February 2, 2001 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Geraldine was born June 13, 1925 at Rexford, Kansas, the daughter of Henry Mitchell and Gladys (Stroll) Mitchell and moved with her family to Shidler at the age of six months. Following her graduation from Shidler High School, Geraldine attended nursing school and on October 8, 1946 at Sedan, Kansas, was married to William I. Bloomfield who preceded her in death November 16, 1994. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shidler and in earlier years was an active member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed camping and fishing. Survivors include a son, William (Bill) Bloomfield and his fiancée, Charlotte Hock of Shidler; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A second family consisted of Bessie Nelson, Lee Nelson, Mary Jo Nelson, Pat Nelson, Judy Nelson, Mike Nelson and Susan Nelson. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bloomfield was preceded in death by one son, Henry Bloomfield and one sister, Billye Kime. Committal services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, Oklahoma with Reverend Manny Loveall presiding. Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City.
