The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ GEORGIA MAE "Pet" SWEEDEN OCNS - February 19, 2002 - Georgia Mae "Pet" Sweeden, former resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, who moved to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, in 1997, passed away February 15, 2002, in The Integris Grove General Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma. Georgia was born September 4, 1920, the daughter of Thomas and Cleory (Williams) Dorsey. On July 20, 1941, in Sedan, Kansas, Georgia married Francis Leo Sweeden who preceded her in death on August 16, 1997. They made their home in Bartlesville where Francis was employed at Reda Pump (TRW) and Georgia was employed at Landers' Grocery. Surviving are: A daughter, Sandra and her husband, Ron Miller, Grove, Oklahoma; A son, Jack Sweeden and a sister, Irene Rupard, both of Pawhuska; two granddaughters, Cassie Sweeden, Grove, and Shanna and her husband, Mike Walker, Pawhuska; four great grandchildren, Craig Kevin, Taylor and Aubrey Walker of Pawhuska; and numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Georgia was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Sweeden. Graveside services were held Monday, February 18, 2002, in the Pawhuska Cemetery with Dr. Larry Wallace officiating. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
