She was born November 16, 1929 in Wynona, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jessie Herbert and Annie Edith (Fleschute) Reeb. Gerldean attended Wynona Schools and October 7, 1949 married Billie Joe Swift in Bartlesville. He preceded her in death September 13, 1987. December 9, 1992 she and Jimmie L. Reed were married in Bartlesville and made their home in Wynona where she was a member of The Wynona Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie of the home in Wynona; five children and their spouses: Anna Mae and Andrew "Butch" Newton and Jesse Ray and Glenda Swift of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Billy Earl and Barbara Swift and Sammy Joe and Connie Swift of Pawhuska; Lala Darlene and David Toon of Wagoner, Oklahoma; three brothers, Wilbur Reeb of Yuba City, California; Jack Reeb of Shamrock, Oklahoma and Leon Reeb of Enid, Oklahoma; a sister, Betty Renfro of Perryton, Texas; fifteen grand children, eleven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lucille Wadsworth and Beulah Cagle and a brother, Ernest Reeb. Services were held Monday, February 14, 2000 in The Pentecostal Holiness Church of Wynona with burial in The Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma with the Reverend Charley Thomas officiating. Johnson Funeral Director's of Pawhuska were in charge of arrangements.
