The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ::Osage Gardens Cemetery--Skiatook OK GAYE LYNN JAMES OCNS - April 1, 2000 - Funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m., in the First Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma, for Gaye Lynn James, 44, who died Thursday afternoon west of Skiatook from injuries received in an automobile accident. Gaye was born November 7, 1955 to Kenneth Dale and Joyce Arlene (Green) Cooper in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received her education in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kansas City, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri, completing her education in Moberly, Missouri in 1974. She married Scott James who preceded her in death. Gaye was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for eleven years, was in the building business with her father and was co-owner of the Cherokee Heritage Apartments. Survivors include her two children: Crystal Horton and husband, Nolan; and Brandon James; her husband, David Gourd; her parents, Kenneth and Joyce Cooper; one brother, Gary Cooper; one grandchild, Chenlar Horton and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Scott James, she was preceded in death by her grandparents. Mr. Jerald Freeman will officiate at the services under the direction of Sein-Shelton Funeral Home of Skiatook. Casket escorts will be Harley Perigo, Eric Horton, Billy Herring, David Juby, Ronnie Allen and Matt Loud. Music will be performed by Gaye Beatt and family in addition to some taped favorites of Gaye's. Following the services interment will be in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook.
