The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HALLIE MARIE MORRIS OCNS - March 21, 2001 - Hallie Marie Morris, 92, longtime resident of Fairfax, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday evening, March 18, 2001 in the Fairfax Memorial Hospital. Hallie was born September 20, 1908 in Marshfield, Missouri, the daughter of Elbert and Josey Lee (Haymes) Triplett and was a graduate of Fairfax High School. She and Marion Carl "MC" Morris Sr., were married August 21, 1929 in the Pawhuska Baptist Church. Hallie worked as a cook at the Fairfax Schools and Fairfax Memorial Hospital and was a member of the First Osage Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary where she served as president for seven years. She enjoyed watching television, reading, traveling and loved sports. Services will be Friday, march 23, at 2:00 p.m., in the First Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax with Reverend Robert Glasgow, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax. Pallbearers will be Doyle Heath, Denny Heath, Roan Brazee, John Williams, Will Lockett, George Pease III and Glen Hadlock. Honorary Pallbearears will be Bob Clark, J. Berry Harrison, Jim Mauk, James Taylor, George Weston and George Wayman. Hallie is survived by her son, Phillip "Sonny" Morris of Houston, Texas, twin sister Allie Kent of Eureka, Kansas, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Sandy Morris; three brothers and four sisters. The family will be at the Roan and Heather Brazee home to receive friends and family.
