She passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston. Helen attended elementary school in Hominy. She graduated from high school in Hobbs, NM in 1954, where she was an honor student. Upon graduation she attended the University of Houston. Helen received a BBA Degree graduating there as an honor student also. She stayed with the insurance company all her adult life. She married Gayle Nowlin in 1958 and had two sons, Douglas and John. She was preceded in death by her husband, sons, one sister, four brothers, and her parents. Helen is survived by one brother, Richard and his wife, Nelda, of LaGrange, Tx., and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Earthman Funeral Home on the Katy Freeway on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 and burial was in the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston.
