Hollis was born November 19, 1952 in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Hollis Lynn and Beatrice (Fredregill) Burner and on September 2, 1971, he and Bonnie Kent were married in Enid. For fourteen years Hollis was a member of the Hennessey, Oklahoma Volunteer Fire Department and, for several years, served on the Hennessey City Council. The Burners moved to Pawhuska in October of 1986 and Mr. Burner was employed by Lanco Construction Company of Owasso, Oklahoma. Survivors include: His wife, Bonnie Burner of the home in Pawhuska; a son, Jody Burner, also of the home; a daughter, Stacie Snavely and her husband, Travis of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Randy Snavely and Tyler Snavely of Springfield; his mother, Beatrice Burner of Hennessey; a brother, Edward Burner of Cement, Oklahoma; two sisters, Diane Hooley of Norman, Oklahoma and Jeannie Vinson of Hennessey and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 221 East Sixth Street, Pawhuska with Reverend Jerry Snavely officiating. Interment will be in the Hennessey Cemetery, Hennessey, Oklahoma. Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska, is in charge of arrangements.
