"CUE-BALL" LANE OCNS - July 16, 2002 - Harold D. "Cue-Ball" Lane, 76, of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, died at 10: 20 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2002 at his home, in the presence of his wife and daughter. Mr. Lane was born August 20, 1926, in Texana, Oklahoma, the son of Lonnie and Cara (Collins) Lane. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Miami during World War II and was retired from Reda Pump, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. For seven years, following his retirement from Reda Pump, Harold drove a bus for the Bartlesville Schools and, for most of his adult life, was renowned for playing gospel and bluegrass music on his bass guitar at various churches and functions. On May 9, 2000, Harold and Erma Stone were united in marriage through a divine appointment of God. Survivors in addition to his wife, Erma of the home, include his children and their spouses: Jerry Green of Burn, Wyoming, Perry Green and Ron and Lavender Lane of Caddo Mills, Texas, James B. Lane and Diana Lyle of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Sandra and Bob (Lane) Workman, Larry Truscott of Lindsay, Montana, Debbie and Charlie Foster of Newkirk, Oklahoma, Johnny L. Stone, Gary W. Stone and Larry Stone, all of Arkansas, City, Kansas; twenty- eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mr. Lane was preceded in death by Belle Waters Lane, his parents Lonnie and Cara Lane, children Wanda Michelle and Harold W. Lane; grandson Shawn Lane and a sister, Caroline Lane. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, at Johnson Funeral Home, 223 East Sixth Street, Pawhuska. Officiating ministers will be Brandon Lyle, Lottie Ozbun and Benny Spencer. Interment will be in the Cedarvale Cemetery, Cedarvale, Kansas.
