Howard was born December 2, 1913 in Ft. Smith, AR. He was the former owner of Moody's Department Store in Collinsville. He was active and served on the Board of the Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Letha Patterson Moody. Howard was a devoted father and grandfather to two daughters, Carrie Bayouth and husband Tex of Hominy, and Sue Austin and husband Danny of Tulsa; son, Jerry Moody and wife Barbara of Gladstone, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Debbie Favell, Dana DeLong, Danelle Higgins, Jone McClure, Jill Rameriz, Karen Barrett, Keenan Moody and Roger Moody; and ten great- grandchildren. Services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment at Powell Memorial Gardens in Hominy.
