Will be 1: pm Monday, January 13, 2003 in the Lakeview Baptist Church of Salina, Okla. Rev. Bobby Belew will officiate and burial will be in the Green Lawn cemetery in Checotah, Okla. Services are under direction of the Key Funeral Home of Locust Grove. Woodard was born on September 15, 1917 in Tuttle. He died January 9, 2003, in Muskogee. John Henry Woodard was the son of Napoleon Bonaparte and Earnestine (SUMPTER) Leadford/Woodard. He was an Army veteran of World War II abd served three years and a half as a prisoner of war in Japan. He worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft as an electrician retiring in 1979, along with various other trades throughout his life. He loved his church, Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina, and spending time with his grandchildren and living on his farm. Survivors include: Wife, Tressye Woodard of the home, children: Betty LIND of Wagoner, Okla., Rudy WOODARD of Hackberry, Louisiana, and Tami SANDERS of Osage Okla., five generations of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Delano Callison Woodard and his parents.
